Biografía. Viola Davis nació el 11 de agosto de 1965 en el pueblo de St. Matthews, en el estado de Carolina del Sur ( Estados Unidos ), hija de May y Dan Davis. Su padre era cuidador de caballos para los hipódromos de Narrangasett y Lincoln Downs, en Rhode Island. 2 Acudió a la Rhode Island College y se especializó en teatro.
