Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC), commonly known as Dartmouth, is the naval academy of the United Kingdom and the initial officer training establishment of the Royal Navy. It is located on a hill overlooking the port of Dartmouth, Devon , England .

26 de may. de 2023 · Since 1863, Dartmouth and the River Dart have been the home of initial Naval Officer training in the UK. Today it is the only remaining Naval Officer College in the country, fulfilling a vital role in training Naval Officer cadets, not only from Britain, but those from the Commonwealth and all over the world.
The bombing of the College in September 1942 forced a change in training policy and both staff and students were evacuated to Eaton Hall, Cheshire, until the end of the war. Bomb damage sustained to the quarterdeck in 1942 The Royal Naval College re-opened in September 1946 and although structurally it remained unchanged, the number and character of its courses was greatly expanded.
Dartmouth College is situated in the rural town of Hanover, New Hampshire, located in the Upper Valley along the Connecticut River in New England. Its 269-acre (1.09 km 2) campus is centered on a 5-acre (2 ha) "Green", a former field of pine trees cleared in 1771.
