William Henry Pickering (February 15, 1858 – January 16, 1938) was an American astronomer. Pickering constructed and established several observatories or astronomical observation stations, notably including Percival Lowell's Flagstaff Observatory.

In 1891 Pickering joined his brother Edward in establishing the Boyden station of the Harvard Observatory at Arequipa, Peru.

William Henry Pickering (15 de febrero de 1858 – 16 de enero de 1938) fue un astrónomo estadounidense. Pickering construyó y estableció varios observatorios o estaciones de observación astronómica, entre los que destaca el Observatorio Flagstaff de Percival Lowell.
William Henry Pickering construyó varios observatorios, dirigió numerosas expediciones por todo el mundo para observar eclipses solares totales, descubrió el noveno satélite (Phoebe) de Saturno y además estudió los cráteres lunares planteando que los cambios en la apariencia del cráter Eratóstenes se debían a "insectos lunares".
