The National Wallace Monument (generally known as the Wallace Monument) is a 67 m (220 ft) tower on the shoulder of the Abbey Craig, a hilltop overlooking Stirling in Scotland. It commemorates Sir William Wallace , a 13th- and 14th-century Scottish hero.
Fue encargada por David Steuart Erskine, 11.º conde de Buchan, y protegido como edificio registrado bajo la categoría B. In 2019, vital restoration work on the William Wallace statue – which towers above the entrance to the Monument took place. The bronze 14ft figure was carefully dismantled in sections and removed for the first time since it was unveiled in 1887.
