Hace 3 días · Immediately after the occupation of the castle by the Parliamentary forces in 1642 the chapel was plundered of all its plate with the exception of two flagons and two chalices, the door of the chapel treasury being burst open by one Captain Fog.
Hace 2 días · The Lady chapel now forms the Albert Memorial chapel, and is five bays long, with a three-sided apse towards the east. It is entered by a Tudor doorway from the passage, which serves as a vestibule to it. The floor and steps are throughout of marble and mosaic, and along the side walls is a marble bench.
