7 de may. de 2024 · Windsor is situated on the south bank of the River Thames opposite Eton and lies to the west of London. The modern town is dominated by Windsor Castle, standing on the outcrop of chalk on which William I the Conqueror (reigned 1066–87) built the original fortress.
