Éamonn Ceannt (1881-1916) was an Irish revolutionary, one of 16 men executed as a leader of the 1916 Easter Rising. He is probably the least known of the seven signatories of the Proclamation of the Creation of the Irish Free State. But he was one of the men who rose up against the British Empire, and advocated the idea of a free Ireland.
