The neighbouring kingdoms of Sri Lanka, under Parakramabahu I , Venadu Chera/Kerala , under the Kulasekharas, [86] and the Cholas, under Rajadhiraja II and Kulottunga III , joined in and took sides with any of the two princes or their kins.
