9 de may. de 2024 · Paris 1900 Olympic Games, athletic festival held in Paris that took place May 14–October 28, 1900. The Paris Games were the second occurrence of the modern Olympic Games. In 1894 the first Olympic Congress selected Paris as the site of the 1900 Games; Athens was chosen as the 1896 host.

14 de may. de 2024 · St. Louis 1904: Boxing made its Olympic debut in 1904. Originally scheduled to be held in Chicago, the Games were moved to St. Louis so as to combine them with that city’s world’s fair, which celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Louisiana Purchase.

The Games rebounded with the 1906 Intercalated Games (so-called because they were the second Olympics to take place within the third Olympiad), which were held in Athens.
