25 Cats Name Sam and One Blue Pussy, first produced in a bound octavo format features a series of not twenty-five, but sixteen offset lithographic prints of cats in various positions, brightly and simply hand-coloured, each inscribed with the name “Sam” (except for the last, which is, of course, inscribed “One Blue Pussy”).

Pop Artist Andy Warhol (1928-1987) is probably most famous for his depictions of Campbell's Soup Cans and Marilyn Monroe, but he also drew and painted lots of colourful pictures of cats. Many of these were published in a 1954 book by the artist entitled '25 Cats Name Sam and One Blue Pussy'.
