Abdessalam Jalloud. A prominent Libyan officer among the “free officers” who led the Libyan revolution from September 1969 and served as Prime Minister of Libya from 16 July 1972 to 2 March 1977. He was considered Gaddafi’s second in command until 1992, when a dispute erupted between them and he resigned.
