Adam Gilchrist, the former wicket-keeper from Australia, is regarded as the greatest wicket-keeper batsman of all time. He held the record for the most number of dismissals in ODIs (472) and holds the record for the most for Australia in Test cricket.
Quite interestingly, Gilchrist would 269 runs in his first two Tests, which included a splendid unbeaten 149 in Hobart as well, but he hit just one six in the process. Yet, eight years later, Gilchrist would become the first player to reach 100 sixes in Test.
