Adam Platt (born July 18, 1958) is an American writer and restaurant critic. He is currently the senior restaurant critic for New York magazine, a position he has held since July 2000, when he succeeded Gael Greene.

Adam Platt has been the chief restaurant critic and professional glutton in residence for New York magazine since 2000. Mr Platt is the son of a US diplomat and a graduate of the American School in Japan, where he worked on the school paper and spent a year riding the bench as the backup center for the champion ASIJ Mustangs basketball team.
