Al Haig was an American jazz pianist known as one of the pioneers of bebop. He performed with Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker in the 1940s and played in non-jazz contexts in the 1950s and 1960s. Haig was acquitted of a murder charge in 1969 but faced challenges to his account of his wife's death in 2007.
