Bibliography. External links. Qalawun. Qalāwūn aṣ-Ṣāliḥī ( Arabic: قلاوون الصالحي, c. 1222 – November 10, 1290) was the seventh Turkic Bahri Mamluk Sultan of Egypt; he ruled from 1279 to 1290. He was called al-Manṣūr Qalāwūn ( المنصور قلاوون, "Qalāwūn the Victorious"). [1] .

El complejo Qalawun (en árabe: مجمع قلاون ) es un enorme complejo en El Cairo, Egipto, construido por el sultán al-Mansur Qalawun en 1284-1285. Está ubicado en Bayn al-Qasrayn en la calle al-Mu'izz e incluye un hospital (bimarista), una madrasa y su mausoleo.
Sayf al-Din Qalawun al-Alfi al-Mansur fue un sultán mameluco de Egipto que reinó entre 1279 y 1290. [1] De origen kipchak, alcanzó el trono egipcio ya mayor; para entonces había participado en numerosas campañas militares.

The Qalawun complex (Arabic: مجمع قلاون) is a massive pious complex in Cairo, Egypt, built by Sultan al-Mansur Qalawun from 1284 to 1285. It is located at Bayn al-Qasrayn on al-Mu'izz street and like many other pious complexes includes a hospital ( bimaristan ), a madrasa and mausoleum .
