14 de mar. de 2024 · The RSA Albert Medal honours outstanding, regenerative and impactful innovation that is enabling people, places and the planet to flourish in harmony. It was instituted in 1864 as a memorial to Prince Albert, a former President of the RSA. Recipients range from world-renowned scientists and artists to social campaigners.
The RSA awards three medals – the Albert Medal, the Benjamin Franklin Medal, and the Bicentenary Medal. Medal winners have included Nelson Mandela , Sir Frank Whittle , and Professor Stephen Hawking .

Hace 5 días · The Albert Medal was instituted in 1866 and named after Queen Victoria's consort, Prince Albert, who had died in 1861. Until the institution of the George Cross in 1940 it was Britain's premier decoration for civilian acts of gallantry in saving life at sea and on land.
