Henry Archer ( bp 18 November 1700 – 16 March 1768) of Hale, Hampshire was a British Member of Parliament. Early life. He was the second son of Andrew Archer of Umberslade Hall in Tanworth in Arden, Warwickshire and his wife Elizabeth Dashwood (a daughter of Sir Samuel Dashwood, Lord Mayor of London in 1702). His elder brother was Thomas Archer.
Dr. Henry Archer was the primary developer of the first warp engine capable of reaching warp five, and was one of the principal designers of Enterprise NX-01. He was the father of Jonathan Archer and a good friend of Emory Erickson , the inventor of the transporter on Earth .
