Dessau-Roßlau (pronunciación: [ˈdɛsaʊ̯ ˈʁɔslaʊ̯]) es una ciudad del estado alemán de Sajonia-Anhalt. Se ubica en el este del estado y es una de las tres ciudades del estado que no pertenece a ningún distrito ( Kreisfreie Stadt ), hallándose enclavada entre los distritos de Anhalt-Bitterfeld al oeste y Wittenberg al este.

Dessau-Roßlau [ˈdɛsa͜u ˈrɔsla͜u] ist eine kreisfreie Stadt im Bundesland Sachsen-Anhalt in Deutschland. Sie ist bei der Kreisreform am 1. Juli 2007 aus der Fusion der kreisfreien Stadt Dessau und der vorher zum aufgelösten Landkreis Anhalt-Zerbst gehörenden Stadt Roßlau (Elbe) entstanden.

Dessau is the largest population centre within Dessau-Roßlau, with approximately 79,000 inhabitants (2021). Most of the town is located on the left bank of the river Mulde, south of its confluence with the river Elbe. Dessau was first mentioned in 1213, and became the capital of a small state ( Anhalt-Dessau) in the 14th century.
Dessau is a district of the independent city of Dessau-Roßlau in Saxony-Anhalt at the confluence of the rivers Mulde and Elbe, in the Bundesland (Federal State) of Saxony-Anhalt. Until 1 July 2007, it was an independent city. The population of Dessau is 67,747 (Dec. 2020).
