Alexej von Jawlensky. An artist of Russian origin, Alexej von Jawlensky pursued most of his career in Germany, where he collaborated closely with his compatriot Wassily Kandinsky and other German artists. He moved to Munich in 1896 to further his training there, disappointed with the teaching methods at the Saint Petersburg Academy.
Alexej von Jawlensky. Alexej von Jawlensky, en ruso Aleksei Georgievich Javlenski (Kuslowo, 13 de marzo de1867 – Wiesbaden, 15 de marzo de 1941) fue un pintor expresionista ruso que desarrolló su carrera en Alemania. Fue miembro del grupo El jinete azul (Der Blaue Reiter). Era el quinto hijo de una familia de origen aristocrático.
