Field Marshal Sir Alexander George Woodford, GCB, KCMG (15 June 1782 – 26 August 1870), was a British Army officer. After taking part in the Anglo-Russian invasion of Holland, he served in most of the battles of the Napoleonic Wars.

Biography. Awarded with his wife Charlotte Mary Ann Woodford one-third of the compensation for Schepmoed in British Guiana: the other two-thirds went to Charles Henry Fraser and to Jane Agnes Wilhelmina Fraser Rich and her husband, George Frederick Rich (all of whom q.v.). The women the sisters of the [Captain] Charles Henry Fraser in the award.
WOODFORD, Sir ALEXANDER GEORGE (1782–1870), field-marshal, was the elder son of Lieutenant-colonel John Woodford ( d. 1800), by his second wife, Susan ( d. 1814), eldest daughter of Cosmo George, third duke of Gordon, and widow of John, ninth earl of Westmorland.
