Alexandre Beauharnais, 34 year-old native of Martinique, resident of La Ferté, was executed on 5 thermidor II (23 July 1794) in Paris. [1] "He was a French General, guillotined. He served in the American War under Rochambeau. He was condemned on a false accusation, and perished at the age of 34.
