5 de jul. de 2019 · Alfred Kubin was born in 1877 in the town of Leitmeritz. His mother died when he was young, and at the age of 19, Kubin attempted suicide at the site of her grave. His preoccupation with death began early, and developed through his experiences in the Austrian army and in his artistic practice throughout two world wars.
Alfred Leopold Isidor Kubin was an Austrian printmaker, illustrator, and occasional writer.
