While John was famous for many things, including his 1994 Nobel Prize in economics and his ability to slowly pull out of the cognitive fog of schizophrenia, to me they are best remembered together as one of the great love stories of all time.

John Forbes Nash Jr., nació en Bluefield Sanatorium el 13 de junio de 1928 y fue bautizado en la Iglesia episcopaliana. Sus biógrafos dicen que fue un niño solitario e introvertido, aunque estaba rodeado de una familia cariñosa y atenta. Parece que le gustaba mucho la lectura y muy poco jugar con otros niños.

Alicia Lardé, también conocida como Alicia Nash, fue una científica salvadoreña que se casó con John Nash, el matemático que ganó el premio Nóbel de Economía en 1955, y que por sus razonamientos y superación del padecimiento de la esquizofrenia inspiró a la creación de la película llamada «Mentes brillantes».
John Nash falleció junto a su esposa el 23 de mayo de 2015, en un accidente de tráfico al estrellarse el taxi que viajaban en Nueva Jersey.Nash y su esposa Alicia, de 86 y 82 años respectivamente, murieron cuando el vehículo en el que viajaban se estrelló contra un guardarraíl.
