The homely residence, newlywed estate and philosophical retreat of Frederick the Great, during his time as the Crown Prince of Prussia. In 1735, to celebrate their 2nd of year of marriage, Friedrich Wilhelm I (King of Prussia from 1713-1740) gifted the estate of Rheinsberg to his son, the future Frederick the Great and his wife Elisabeth-Christine.
