Frederick III [a] (Friedrich Wilhelm Nikolaus Karl; 18 October 1831 – 15 June 1888) was German Emperor and King of Prussia for 99 days between March and June 1888, during the Year of the Three Emperors. Known informally as "Fritz", he was the only son of Emperor Wilhelm I and was raised in his family's tradition of military service.

Frederick III (German: Friedrich III, 21 September 1415 – 19 August 1493) was Holy Roman Emperor from 1452 until his death in 1493. He was the penultimate emperor to be crowned by the pope, and the last to be crowned in Rome.

Duke Frederick III of Austria (31 March 1347 – 10 December 1362) was the second son of Duke Albert II of Austria and a younger brother of Duke Rudolf IV. He was born and died in Vienna , where he is buried in the Ducal Crypt .
