11 de sept. de 2019 · Renoir bought a house in Essoyes in 1896, six years after marrying his model and mistress Aline Charigot. Aline was born in this rustic village, which was nestled amongst the champagne vineyards. She loved her hometown and convinced Renoir to buy a home here.
Renoir reached a high point of his career in 1880–81 with Luncheon of the Boating Party (The Phillips Collection, Washington, D.C., 1637), in which Aline Charigot (1859–1915) made her first appearance.
Auguste Renoir (1841 - 1919) Pierre, Renoir's first son, was born on 21 March 1885. During the following months the painter produced a series of drawings and oil paintings in which Aline, his future wife, is seen feeding the baby. All these works show the characters in the same pose, with the baby Pierre clutching his foot.

May 23, 1859 - Jun 27, 1915. Aline Charigot was a model for Auguste Renoir and later became his wife while continuing to model for him and then caring for him when he became disabled. She is pictured in many of his paintings over very many years, most famously in the early 1880s Luncheon of the Boating Party, and Blonde Bather.
