Irish nationalists called him a turncoat and a tyrant for the role he played in suppressing the 1798 Rising as Chief Secretary at Dublin Castle.

This gorgeous print is taken from the circa 1795 portrait painting of Lady Amelia Stewart by English artist Sir Thomas Lawrence. A full image of the artwork is shown for reference. This is one of my favorite Rococo portraits.
