Christian, Crown Prince of Denmark, Count of Monpezat RE (Christian Valdemar Henri John; born 15 October 2005), is the heir apparent to the Danish throne. He is the eldest child of King Frederik X and Queen Mary .

The new heir apparent took his seat at King Frederik's right during the abdication ceremony at Christiansborg Palace. He later joined his parents and three younger siblings on the palace balcony to wave to the gathered crowds.
