André George Previn KBE (/ ˈ p r ɛ v ɪ n /; born Andreas Ludwig Priwin; April 6, 1929 – February 28, 2019) was a German-American pianist, composer, and conductor. His career had three major genres: Hollywood films, jazz, and classical music.

GRAMMY-winning composer and conductor André Previn has died. He was 89 years old. Previn's manager Linda Petrikova confirmed the news to NPR on Thursday. A composer, conductor and pianist, Previn famously directed the Los Angeles Philharmonic from 1985 to 1989.
