Andrew Bell. Andrew Bell ( St Andrews, 27 marzo 1753 – Cheltenham, 27 gennaio 1832) è stato un prete anglicano scozzese e pedagogo, che diffuse il Sistema di Educazione di Madras ( Madras System of Education ), conosciuta anche come "mutuo insegnamento" nelle scuole e fondò il Madras College, una scuola secondaria a St. Andrews.
Andrew Bell (1725/6–1809) was a Scottish engraver, printer, and with his fellow printer Colin Macfarquhar co-founder of the Encyclopædia Britannica. He was probably born in Edinburgh, the son of John Bell, a baker.

Bell produced almost all of the copperplate engravings for the 1st-4th editions of Britannica. He was born in Edinburgh in 1726 and had little formal education.
