Segismundo III de Polonia ( Mariefred, 20 de junio de 1566- Varsovia, 30 de abril de 1632), fue rey de Polonia y gran duque de Lituania desde 1587 hasta 1632. Con el nombre de Segismundo I, fue también rey de Suecia entre 1592 y 1599. Era miembro de la casa real de Vasa. Segismundo alcanzó la autoridad real de dos reinos: Polonia y Suecia.
Sigismund III Vasa (Polish: Zygmunt III Waza, Lithuanian: Žygimantas Vaza; 20 June 1566 – 30 April 1632 N.S.) was King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1587 to 1632 and, as Sigismund, King of Sweden and Grand Duke of Finland from 1592 to 1599.
Their Catholic son Sigismund III Vasa, then ruler of a short-lived Polish–Swedish union, was usurped in 1599 by John's Protestant brother King Charles IX of Sweden in the War against Sigismund. The dynasty was then split into a Protestant Swedish branch and a Catholic Polish one, which contended for crowns in subsequent wars.
