Anna of Holstein-Gottorp was born on February 27, 1575, in Schleswig, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Her birth geographical coordinates are 54° 31’ 18” North latitude and 9° 33’ 31” East longitude.
On 21 February 1728, Anna gave birth in Kiel Castle to a son named Carl Peter Ulrich, the future Peter III of Russia. Peter would found the House of Holstein-Gottorp-Romanov that would go on to rule Russia until the early 20th-century.

Anna of Holstein-Gottorp (27 February 1575 – 24 April 1610) was a German noblewoman, daughter of Duke Adolf of Holstein-Gottorp and Landgravine Christine of Hesse (daughter of Landgrave Philip I of Hesse ). On 28 January 1598, she married Count Enno III of East Frisia. They had the following children:
