Laurence Michael Harvey Parsons, 6th Earl of Rosse, KBE (28 September 1906 – 5 July 1979) was an Anglo-Irish peer. Early life and education [ edit ] Parsons was the son of William Edward Parsons, 5th Earl of Rosse , whom he succeeded in 1918, and Frances Lois Lister-Kaye, daughter of Sir Cecil Edmund Lister-Kaye, 4th Bt. and Lady Beatrice Adeline Pelham-Clinton.

Early life. An Irish peer, he was born at Twickenham, Middlesex, the son of Richard Parsons, 1st Viscount Rosse ( c. 1657 -1703) and Elizabeth Hamilton, niece of Sarah Jennings, Duchess of Marlborough. His family had settled at New Ross, County Wexford at the beginning of the 17th century.
