  3. HENRY GREY, MARQUIS OF DORSET AND DUKE OF SUFFOLK. BORN: 17 JANUARY 1517. EXECUTED: 1554. Husband of Frances Brandon and father of Catherine, Jane and Mary Grey. Supported his daughter Jane's claim to the throne. Pardoned, but later executed for supporting a rebellion against Mary I and her marriage to Philip of Spain.

  4. Henry Grey supported Northumberland and was appointed to the privy council in November 1541, although he only attended about a third of its meetings. When Dudley was elevated to the Dukedom of Northumberland in 1551, Henry became Duke of Suffolk and he benefited financially from Edward Seymour's final fall and death.
