22 de dic. de 2021 · William Anne Keppel, second earl of Albemarle, served as governor of Virginia from 1737 until his death in 1754. His father was a confidant of William of Orange and later was made first earl of Albemarle. William Anne Keppel succeeded to his father’s titles and estates in 1718.

Lieutenant-General Willem (or William) Anne van Keppel, 2nd Earl of Albemarle KG KB PC (5 June 1702 – 22 December 1754) was a British soldier, diplomat and courtier.
Lady Elizabeth Keppel (1739–1768), who married Francis Russell, Marquess of Tavistock. From 1725 to 1737, she was a Lady of the Bedchamber to Queen Caroline . Anne died in 1789 at Admiralty House aged 86.
