- BARI, UNA CAPITAL A LA QUE PEREGRINAR. La ruta empieza en Bari, la capital de la región, que acoge el principal aeropuerto y es la ciudad que ofrece más opciones para alquilar un vehículo, la mejor manera de desplazarse libremente y alcanzar playas y pueblos recónditos a los que no llega el tren.
- CASTEL DEL MONTE. Siguiendo hacia el norte se llega a la llamada Puglia Imperial, constituida por pueblos antiguos, ciudades llenas de arte, catedrales y monumentos, palacios nobles y castillos imponentes.
- TRANI Y LA PUGLIA IMPERIAL. La Puglia Imperial invita a detenerse en otra parada inesperada, la localidad de Trani, cuya blanca y monumental catedral se yergue sobre el mar.
- MINERVINO MURGE, EL BALCÓN DE LA PUGLIA. No conviene terminar este recorrido por la Puglia Imperial sin visitar Minervino Murge, un pueblo encantador, denominado «el balcón de la Puglia» porque está encaramado a una colina desde la que se contemplan vistas magníficas.
