Earl of Rosebery, who was also Prime Minister of Britain 1894-1895. Rosebery’s sole industry is mining, and since the discovery of minerals in 1893, it has had a checkered existence, particularly before 1936.

An overhaul was prepared and started in 1978 with the locomotive being dismantled, but it was paused for over 30 years due to the overhaul and maintenance of other locomotives before being restarted in 2012.
