Frances Gorges. Sir Arthur Haselrig, 2nd Baronet (1601 – 7 January 1661) was a leader of the Parliamentary opposition to Charles I and one of the Five Members whose attempted arrest sparked the 1642–1646 First English Civil War.

Sir Arthur Haselrig. (c. 1600—1661) Quick Reference. ( c. 1600–61). Haselrig, a Leicestershire baronet, was a leader of the parliamentary cause throughout the civil wars. A staunch puritan, educated at Cambridge and Gray's Inn, he was a close associate of Pym.

6 de dic. de 2023 · ' Sir Arthur Hesilrige, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Thomas Hesilrige, 1st Bt. and Frances Gorges.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Greville, daughter of Fulke Greville and Mary Copley.1 He married, firstly, Frances Elmes, daughter of Thomas Elmes, in 1625.1 He died on 7 January 1660/61 at Tower of London, The City, London, England.1.
Sir Arthur Haselrig, one of the M. P.s whom Charles attempted to arrest in 1642, is said to have done so, though his name appears in the commission.
