John Cyril Cranko (* 15. August 1927 in Rustenburg, Südafrika; † 26. Juni 1973 auf einem Rückflug aus den USA) war ein britischer Tanzregisseur und Choreograf. Er war ab 1961 Leiter des Stuttgarter Balletts, das er innerhalb weniger Jahre zu einer der führenden Ballettkompanien der Welt machte. Grabstein auf dem Stuttgarter Solitude-Friedhof.

John Cranko (born Aug. 15, 1927, Rustenburg, S.Af.—died June 26, 1973, Dublin) was a dancer, choreographer, and ballet director best known for his work with the Stuttgart Ballet. His basic dance training was at the Cape Town University Ballet School, where he performed as well as choreographed his first ballet, The Soldier’s Tale (1942).
