  1. In 1935 Al & Ruby adopted a baby boy , they called him Al Jolson Jr and Al shortend it to Sonny Boy. When Al and Ruby divorced in 1940 she took baby Al with her, she later married John Lowe and when baby Al became 14 they changed his name to Albert Peter Lowe. He stayed close to his Mother until her death in 1993. Albert Peter Lowe (Al Jr) Died at 72 in November 2007.

Here it is: Asa Albert Jolson, the son of Erle Galbraith Jolson and Al Jolson, died March 4th (2015) at the Health Center at Richland in Nashville, Tennessee.
