Schack August Steenberg Krogh (Grenaa, Dinamarca; 15 de noviembre de 1874-Copenhague, 13 de septiembre de 1949) fue un fisiólogo danés, ganador del Premio Nobel de Fisiología y Medicina en 1920 por sus trabajos sobre la fisiología de la respiración y de los vasos capilares.

August Krogh. (Grena, 1874 - Copenhague, 1949) Fisiólogo danés. Estudió en la Universidad de Copenhague, de la que fue profesor de fisiología animal desde 1916. Su labor profesional se centró en el campo de la zoofisiología.
He contributed a number of fundamental discoveries within several fields of physiology, and is famous for developing the Krogh Principle. In 1920 August Krogh was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery of the mechanism of regulation of the capillaries in skeletal muscle.
