25 de mar. de 2024 · August Macke (born January 3, 1887, Meschede, Germany—died September 26, 1914, Perthes-les-Hurlus, France) was a German painter who was a leader of Der Blaue Reiter (“The Blue Rider”), an influential group of Expressionist artists. Macke studied at the Düsseldorf Academy from 1904 to 1906.
August Macke (ur. 3 stycznia 1887, zm. 26 września 1914) – niemiecki malarz, ekspresjonista, członek grupy artystycznej Der Blaue Reiter. Jego twórczość ewoluowała od impresjonizmu, poprzez kubizm, orfizm, futuryzm do abstrakcjonizmu. Posługiwał się techniką olejną i akwarelą, malował portrety, kompozycje figuralne i pejzaże.
