Biographie. Né à Châtillon-sur-Seine, le 20 juillet 1774, il meurt à Venise le 3 mars 1852. En sortant de l'Ecole d'Artillerie de Châlons, il devient officier en 1792. Sert en Italie et à Toulon où il rencontre Bonaparte pour la première fois. Combat sous les ordres de Desaix à Mainz en tant que Capitaine en 1795.
