The 2022 Australian federal election in the Senate was held on 21 May 2022 to elect 40 of the 76 senators in the Australian Senate, after a six-week campaign. Senators elected at this election took office on 1 July 2022, with the exception of the Senators elected from two territories whose terms commenced from election day.
