Avant Gershwin is Austin's second collaboration with Germany's WDR Big Band. On For Ella, her 2002 release with WDR, she brought new life and relevance, as well as a new audience, to the great Ella Fitzgerald. Avant Gershwin does the same thing for George and Ira Gershwin.
