I may be one of the few, but I believe this to be one of Bette Midler’s best performances. I loved this movie, but looking back it obviously did not perform well. I never understood why Beaches was so successful but not this movie. Maybe the timing? Were people just getting tired of female led melodramas? Curious of everyone else’s thoughts!
