Their song "Sincerely" went to number 1 on the Billboard R&B chart and number 20 on the Billboard Juke Box chart. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.

Meanwhile, in 1964, Pete Graves restarted the Moonglows with Doc Green of The Drifters, George Thorpe, and Bearle Easton. This group recorded briefly for Lana Records, Times Square Records, and Crimson Records.
In 1964 Pete Graves formed another Moonglows including Doc Green (The Five Crowns, Rainbow), George Thorpe, and Bearle Easton (both from the Velvets, Red Robin). They tried to recreate the old group's sound on five singles for Lana (from the Chess days), one single for Times Square, and one for Crimson.
In 1964, Alexander Graves formed a second group known as the Moonglows with Doc Green, George Thorpe, and Bearle Easton; the group did not last very long. After Milton and Bobby Lester had left them, Pete Graves added Bearle Easton and George Thorpe (both of whom had been in the Red Robin Velvets) and the group recorded for the Crimson, Lana, and Times Square labels. Then, Milton hooked up with Johnny and Timmy Ridley and the three of them recorded some sides for Atlantic as the Ridley Brothers.
