Beatrice DeMille, nata Matilda Beatrice Samuel (Liverpool, 30 gennaio 1853 – Hollywood, 8 ottobre 1923), è stata una sceneggiatrice inglese naturalizzata statunitense, madre di due grandi pionieri del cinema muto americano come William C. deMille e Cecil B. De Mille.
28 de jul. de 2023 · After reading one of her short stories, theatrical agent Beatrice deMille (mother of Cecil and William) hired Unsell to work as what was then called a play reader and constructionist (Tibbets 1985). During her career, Unsell accumulated nearly 100 credits as a screenwriter.
Cecil B. DeMille was born on August 12, 1881, in Ashfield, Massachusetts. His father, Henry de Mille, was born in Washington, North Carolina, of Dutch and English ancestry. Henry was an Episcopal lay minister and a successful playwright. DeMille’s mother was born Beatrice Samuels to German-Jewish parents in London but was raised in New York.
