Beatrice I, also known as Beatrice of Franconia (German: Beatrix von Franken; 1037 – 13 July 1061), was Abbess of Gandersheim Abbey from 1043 and Princess-Abbess of Quedlinburg Abbey from 1044 until her death.

29 de dic. de 2018 · Biography. Beatrix or Beatrice was daughter of Heinrich Salian and his wife, Gunnhild Knudsdottir and was born in 1037 perhaps in Italy which was where her mother died in 1038. [1] . Her Wikipedia entry says that she was consecrated Abbess of Quedlinburg in 1044 but does not cite a specific source. [2] .
