  1. William Harold Southworth (March 9, 1893 – November 15, 1969) was an American outfielder and manager in Major League Baseball (MLB). As a player in 1913 and 1915 and from 1918 to 1929 for five big-league teams, Southworth took part in almost 1,200 games, fell just short of 1,300 hits and batted .297 lifetime.

Batting left and throwing right, he started the 1913 season for Portsmouth, too, but was purchased halfway through the season by Charles Somers, owner of the American League Cleveland Naps.
